Writing a book can be a daunting task, and often times, it can feel quite lonely. But, it doesn't have to be! During my day job (and probably to distract myself from my own writing), I offer editorial and book coaching services for writers!
Most aspiring writers I've met tend to worry about how "industry ready" their work is. Others feel like it's so difficult to not only find qualified people to read their work, but it's also terrifying to ask someone to critique your work. Fear not ~ I've been there and as a member of the writing community, I would love to pay it forward.

MANUSCRIPT REVIEW
What is a manuscript review and why should I select this service?
A manuscript review is similar to a beta read and is often done during the developmental stage of a project. It is recommended to have a full manuscript done for the best review. With this service, I will read your full manuscript and offer an in-depth assessment letter with editorial guidance covering issues like plot development, character arcs, and current comparables.
From there, you can decide whether you'd like to continue working with me or revise on your own.
MANUSCRIPT REVIEW: $200 one time payment
TIMEFRAME: 1-2 months
DELIVERABLES: Editorial Development Letter covering my general reactions, overall impressions, plot development, main character arcs, current/recommended comparables
BOOK COACHING
What if my manuscript is still a work in progress? Can we still work together?
My short answer is YES!!! I am not a fast drafter. (In fact, it took me over three years to finish the first draft of SKYLIGHT!) I completely understand how hard it is to finish a manuscript, but sometimes we just need to chat with other writers to make sure we're on the right track. If this is a situation you're in, consider scheduling a book coaching session!
For me, a book coach is like a critique partner and editor rolled into one! As your book coach, I want to become your sounding board and lift you up during this stressful drafting process. Coaching sessions are task-driven and customized for each project. Perhaps you want to work on character voice, fix plot holes, brainstorm worldbuilding, or even get a second opinion on a section of your manuscript. Whatever your short-term objective is, I am ready to help you work through it!
BOOK COACHING SESSION: $50 per session via Zoom/Google Meet
TIMEFRAME: 1 hour virtual call/meeting
DELIVERABLES for Book Coaching Sessions are determined by the specific objectives and task for each session. These may include development letters, project/scene outlines, character profiles, worldbuilding descriptions and more.
